Acid alkali storage tank is a specialized container used to store various acids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid), alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide) and corrosive solutions. Its core function is to safely isolate corrosive media and prevent leakage pollution. It is widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, environmental protection, and electroplating. 1、 Core feature: Adapt to corrosive requirements
1. Strong corrosion resistance: The material is crucial and should be selected according to the concentration and temperature of the storage medium——
Plastics (commonly used): such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), resistant to most weak acids and bases (such as dilute hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide solution), low cost, light weight, suitable for storage at room temperature and low pressure;
Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP): has stronger corrosion resistance, can withstand medium concentrations of acid and alkali (such as 30% sulfuric acid), has higher strength than plastic, and is suitable for larger volumes (10-100m 3);
Metals (special scenarios): such as stainless steel (316L, weakly corrosion-resistant), titanium alloy (strongly corrosion-resistant, such as concentrated nitric acid), but with high cost, mostly used in high temperature or high pressure conditions;
Glass lined: The inner wall is coated with a glass layer, which is resistant to strong corrosion and suitable for the pharmaceutical and food industries (clean and free of impurities).
2. Safety protection design:
Leak prevention: Strengthen the sealing at the welding points of the tank body, and use corrosion-resistant gaskets for the interfaces (feed/discharge ports, breathing ports); Large storage tanks are equipped with "leak proof trays" to prevent the spread of leaked liquids;
Pressure/liquid level control: Volatile acid and alkali (such as hydrochloric acid and ammonia water) storage tanks are equipped with breathing valves (to balance internal and external pressures and prevent tank deformation); Partially equipped with level gauges (such as magnetic flap level gauges) to avoid excessive storage;
Anti impact/aging: Outdoor storage tanks are equipped with sunscreen/antifreeze layers (such as PE tanks wrapped in insulation cotton) to extend their service life; Strengthening ribs are installed at the bottom of the plastic can to enhance load-bearing stability.

Small tank (100L-5m 3): mostly vertical/horizontal plastic tanks, suitable for laboratories and small workshops, movable (with wheels);
Large tanks (10m 3 -100m 3): mainly made of vertical fiberglass/steel lined plastic tanks, used for storing raw materials in factories, requiring a fixed foundation, equipped with ladders and guardrails (for easy maintenance);

3、 Attention to use: Adapting to the medium is key
Different materials are prohibited from being mixed with specific acids and bases, such as:
PE/PP tanks should not store concentrated nitric acid or strong oxidizing acids (which can corrode plastics);
Avoid storing high temperature and strong alkali in fiberglass tanks (such as sodium hydroxide solution above 80 ℃, which may soften the resin layer);
Before storage, it is necessary to clarify the concentration and temperature of the medium to avoid the risk of leakage caused by "misuse of materials".
